Fraternal
Executive Producer: Jeffrey Gliwa
Partner: John Markland
Logline:
On Independence Day a father confesses the truth his sons always feared.
Synopsis:
Mike McManus, the world-renowned author of the Sales Bible, has asked his two sons to come home for July fourth. He wants them all to celebrate country, family and his New Deal. His fraternal twin boys, Greg and Jay, went in separate directions years ago.
Greg sells Yachts in Cape Cod, while Jay tattoos gangs in Brooklyn. The only thing these two agree on is that life was never the same after their mother’s suicide. In spite of all the bad blood, the brothers return to their father’s Central Park Penthouse on the eve of Independence Day. Each with an agenda to speak their truth.
Caught in the middle of the fireworks is Ann, Mike’s young wife, so young she was graduating when the boys were entering the same school. The boys may have something on their chests, but it is Anne who has something to unload.
Fraternal tears open the modern American dream, which is painful, humbling and contains a confession that just may save a son’s life.
